TREE RISK ASSESSMENT
A tree that looks healthy on the outside can be rotting from within. Our ISA Certified Arborist uses industry-standard TRAQ assessment methods to evaluate structural integrity, root health, and environmental risk factors, giving you a clear, defensible picture of risk before a storm makes the decision for you. Whether you're concerned about a single tree near your home or want a comprehensive property-wide assessment, we provide the data and recommendations you need to make informed decisions about your trees.
WHEN YOU NEED TREE RISK ASSESSMENT
Proactive assessment prevents costly emergencies. Consider one if:
- Large trees are growing close to your home or structures
- You've noticed mushrooms growing at the base of a tree
- The tree has visible cracks, cavities, or peeling bark
- Branches have been dropping without obvious cause
- You're buying a property with mature trees and want to know the risk
- Your insurance company or city is requesting a professional assessment
THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Visual Inspection
A thorough ground-level inspection of trunk, canopy, root flare, and surrounding site conditions using ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) methodology.
Structural Analysis
We check for co-dominant stems, included bark, cracks, cavities, and decay indicators. Advanced tools may be used for internal assessment if needed.
Risk Rating
Each tree receives a risk rating (low, moderate, high, extreme) based on likelihood of failure, size of the part that could fail, and target value.
Written Report
You receive a detailed report with findings, risk ratings, photographs, and recommended actions. Useful for insurance, real estate, and peace of mind.

WHAT AFFECTS PRICING
Every job is different. Here are the factors that influence your quote:
- Number of trees to assess
- Level of assessment required (basic visual, advanced, or detailed)
- Written report and documentation needs
- Property size and accessibility
WHY HIRE A PRO
Tree risk assessment isn't something you can eyeball. Internal decay, root failure zones, and structural defects are often invisible from the outside until a tree actually fails. Our arborist holds the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), which means training in systematic evaluation of failure likelihood, target analysis, and risk categorization using the same methodology accepted by insurance companies, municipalities, and courts. A professional assessment gives you a defensible record of due diligence that protects you legally if a tree does cause damage. It also prevents unnecessary removal of trees that look concerning but are actually structurally sound. Many trees we assess can be retained with targeted pruning or cabling rather than expensive removal.
